Dutch Oven University is a sister of RVing Outpost, LLC Throughout this website, you will see references to our physical "store". That store refers to the RVing Outpost, LLC, located at 1013 East Spruce Street, Abbotsford, Wisconsin 54405.

OUR PRIVACY POLICY

At Dutch Oven University, we have a very simple privacy policy: We don't share your information with anyone else, period. We have many friends and on-line acquaintances that order from us and rest-assured, we don't divulge that information, either. If YOU want to talk about your purchases from us, of course we appreciate it, but we will NEVER divulge the fact that you have purchased anything from us without your consent.

Please note that as a customer of Dutch Oven University, we DO add you to our own private e-mail list. We send out e-mails approximately one time per month. Occasionally, we may send one two per month, but your in-box will NOT be inundated with e-mails from us as we know how annoying that is! Because we believe in responsible e-mail marketing, you can easily opt-out of our e-mails and never hear from us again! Of course, we hope that won't happen!

SHIPPING POLICIES

Unless noted otherwise, all orders received prior to 1:00 p.m. Central Time on regular business days are shipped SAME DAY resulting in extremely quick delivery. Occasionally, due to circumstances beyond our control, orders may ship the next day, but we do everything we can to ship your order the same day. Orders received after 1:00 p.m. on Fridays, weekends and national holidays and days that UPS does not make regular pick-ups and deliveries are shipped the following business day.

All orders are handled personally by Greg, Julie, Aaron, Erica and Abigail (and sometimes Julie's mom!), from start to finish and are shipped directly from our store in Abbotsford, Wisconsin. What you see on the website is what we have available in our store (unless we recently sold out). When you place an order, the item is removed from our shelves and personally packed for shipping to you.

RETURN POLICY

Our return policy applies to both IN-STORE and ON-LINE purchases.

If you need to return a piece of cast iron that does not come in a manufacturer's box, you MUST pack it appropriately! We use a great deal of packing materials to ship your items to you for a reason. A Cast Iron Waffle Iron will easily break through a box if it is not packed properly. Please be sure to SHAKE THE BOX before you tape it to ensure that the product will not bounce around in the package. This is not just a suggestion -- It's what WE do when we package your order for delivery to you in the first place. We literally SHAKE the BOX to ensure the contents are secure and will not bounce around during shipping. That is why our products ship as well as they do. Packing materials become compacted after shipping, so you may need to add additional packing materials to the box should you decide to return an item to us.

Most of our items carry a manufacturer's warranty. If the item you purchased breaks within that warranty period, please contact the manufacturer to obtain a replacement. We are unable to issue refunds or replacements after 30 days from your date of purchase.

We cannot accept any returns for any reason on cast iron that has been used. If you attempted to season a piece of cast iron or have used it, it cannot be returned to Dutch Oven University for any refund whatsoever, under any circumstances. There are absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy!

You may return most new, unopened items sold by Dutch Oven University within 30 days of delivery for a full refund (less shipping charges). We will pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item). Items that are opened or returned more than 30 days after delivery will only receive a partial refund. Unless it is a result of our error, shipping charges will NOT be refunded, under any circumstances.

UPS tracking information or USPS Delivery Confirmation will determine delivery date, without exception.

The cost of return shipping is your responsibility
unless the return is a result of our error or the product is defective.

Some items will receive only a partial refund. The amount of your refund depends on several factors:

Any book that has obvious signs of use: 40% of item's price. (This is fully at OUR discretion.)
Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error: up to 40% of item's price. (Again, this is at OUR discretion.)

If you returned only one item from a multi-item shipment, you will only be reimbursed a partial shipping fee but only for the damaged or defective item you returned.

Partial or NO Refund will be issued for the following items:

Items that are returned more than 30 days after delivery, regardless of reason. (Please open your packages when they are received to check their condition and accuracy of your order. Remember, we are a small, family run business and occasionally, we do make mistakes, although we try very hard not to!. Holding a package for 30 days or more because it is a gift will not exempt you from this exclusion no matter what! We do everything we can to protect your purchases during shipment, but have no control over how the shipper handles your package.) Opening your package and checking your products when they are received will alleviate this concern.
Any item that has obvious signs of use will receive NO REFUND. (This is fully at OUR discretion).
Any item not returned in the condition it was initially shipped will receive NO REFUND. (This is fully at OUR discretion).
Returning an item in insufficient packaging, causing an item to be received by us in a damaged or broken condition will result in NO REFUND. Please package the item(s) you wish to return carefully to avoid damages during shipping. Cast iron CAN and WILL break if not packaged properly! There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy. Any item not returned in the condition it was initially shipped will receive NO REFUND.

IF AN ITEM IS NOT RETURNED IN ORIGINAL USABLE PACKAGING (it's been torn, etc.)
YOU WILL NOT BE ISSUED ANY REFUND WHATSOEVER UNLESS THE ITEM WAS DEFECTIVE WHEN YOU RECEIVED IT.
(This is completely at our discretion).
